Volcanic nature

Maybe what comes to mind when you think of the Canary Islands is the Teide –the third highest volcano in the world–, but the islands’ volcanic origins offer so much more: it’s a constant feature of the landscape, an ancient and mystical force that endows these seven islands with beauty and character.

When the lava surged from the depths of the earth and formed these islands, it sculpted craggy peaks and calderas teeming with life, it carved geometric forms and deep gorges, it created fabulous beaches and incomparable seabeds…

These capricious forms are sometimes cloaked in green, and sometimes resemble lunar landscapes, but each one is an invitation to partake of its special energy.
