Puerto del Carmen is fully geared up, with sequins masks and feathers galore, ready to celebrate one of the year’s most keenly anticipated and enjoyable festivals.
THURSDAY 27th FEBRUARY
5 p.m. – Grand Carnival Cala in the Plaza del Varadero square with performances by the “Los Guaracheros” dance troupe, the “Los Gruñones” musicians, the “Chimbay” drummers and the “Sur Caliente” dancers.
FRIDAY 28th FEBRUARY
9.30 p.m. – Concert with Don Patricio in the Plaza del Varadero square followed by a music and dance party with DJ Ángel Pérez on the decks.
SATURDAY 29th FEBRUARY
5 p.m. – Grand Carnival Parade along the beachfront avenue from Barcarola to Fariones Playa hotel.
9 p.m. – Music and dance party with the “Boomba” band and the “Maquinaria Band” orchestra in the Plaza del Varadero square.
SUNDAY 1st MARCH
11 a.m. – Grand Children’s Carnival Parade from the end of Calle Teide in the direction of the Varadero square in the old harbour.
11.30 a.m. – Bouncy castles.
12 Midday – Daytime Carnival with performances from the “Boomba” band and the “Maquinaria Band” orchestra in the Plaza del Varadero square.
