The sea surrounding Lanzarote and La Graciosa is characterised by its transparent water, with more than 20 metres of visibility practically all year round, and a temperature that ranges between 18°C and 24°C.
Lanzarote’s coastline is therefore perfect for beginners and families, who can comfortably venture into the water from the shore to explore the coast with a snorkel, as well as for more experienced divers, who are sure to appreciate its amazing biodiversity.
Lanzarote has more than 100 diving spots that will make you fall in love with the underwater world and dream of coming back again and again. We recommend you download the Lanzarote diving guide, which contains many useful tips for practising sustainable and responsible diving. It also contains details of the most notable diving spots and of the different species you are likely to encounter while diving.
There is an extensive network of professional diving centres located in the main diving areas, which provide an exclusive service that will make your diving experience unforgettable.
- Day 2: “Enjoy every stride as you cross a landscape that evokes freedom”
If you are a fan of running, then don’t forget to pack your trainers. Outdoor running is a real pleasure, and coming into contact with nature will fill you with energy and motivation with every stride.
Lanzarote has many spectacular routes, such as the Playa de Famara, where you can run over 5 kilometres along sand and cliffs; the seaside avenue from Costa Teguise to Puerto del Carmen, with over 23 kilometres of road; various different circuits through Haría; or the area of La Geria, with its many paths and trails, a testimony to our agricultural and cultural heritage.
There is a wide range of sports accommodation on offer, which will further improve the quality of your sports experience.
And this post on five functional exercises that are essential for your running training is sure to be useful for supplementing your workouts.
- Day 3: “The island of infinite winds awaits you”

Whether you are an expert wave rider, free rider, or a complete beginner, Lanzarote offers a range of spots suitable for all levels and programmes. Most of the windsurfing schools are located in the most characteristic spot on the island, Playa de las Cucharas, and offer the possibility of renting the equipment or of taking courses adapted to all levels.
Here you can find a selection of the best windsurfing and kitesurfing spots on the island, so that you can discover the magnificent surfing conditions offered by what has now become a classic European destination.
- Day 4: “Endless roads or unique mountains: your choice”
You can’t miss out on the experience of getting on a bike and riding some of the fantastic road routes the island has to offer, which will take you through the salt flats of Salinas de Janubio, the Montañas del Fuego mountains, the village of Caleta de Famara, the protected landscape of La Geria or the Mirador del Rio viewing point.
If you prefer mountain biking, the island also has a great many routes that go through unique landscapes that will make you feel like an explorer discovering new worlds.

Lanzarote’s uniqueness is perfectly reflected in its two golf courses, located in the tourist areas of Costa Teguise and Puerto del Carmen.
You can book your green fees in advance or you can do so once you are on the island. The staff working at either golf course will provide you with the best tee times, and will find an interesting game for you if you are attending alone. If you would rather train, you can rent all the equipment you need to brush up your swing or practice your putting.
It might also be the perfect occasion to take a beginner’s or advanced course, or to obtain a handicap. The professionals at both clubs have extensive professional experience and will advise you on the best option for you.
There is a wide range of accommodation that specialises in golf, located just a few minutes away from the courses, offering exclusive services for golfers and their families.
